Sahar Harb, CO-Founder of Smartman, has been in Georgia for over three years and she says it’s become her "second home." This made her the perfect person to ask for recommendations for you!
"I worked really hard to get the franchise of UCMAS, a non-formal, educational brain development program for kids age 4-14, and bring it to Georgia," Harb tells us. "I believe every child, no matter where and when, deserves the opportunity to have a more knowledgeable and quality life. I committed to helping children in Georgia get the skills they need to excel in life. At UCMAS, our vision is to create more confident and capable future generations. I have already visited many places in Georgia, but I think I still have more to see as three years is not enough to discover a country so rich in culture and history as Georgia is. As I have many tourists as guests, I already have a list of must-see places to suggest- these, I’m happy to share with Where.ge readers too.
KAZBEGI
Kazbegi – A must-visit region approximately 2 hours’ drive from the capital city Tbilisi. You’ll enjoy even the road and can take some great pictures of the stunning views. There is
nothing more beautiful than watching Mount Kazbek any time of the year. Also, it is very close to Gudauri ski resort, around 30 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes from new cable route from Kobi to Gudauri.
LOPOTA
Another must-visit region for me in Georgia is Kakheti with numerous amazing places to see. I would certainly recommend Lopota Lake and a stay at the resort and SPA there. It has all sorts of entertainment and makes a perfect place for families too.
RADISSON BLU IVERIA - UMAMI
Sushi is an exotic dish for Georgians and is definitely not something they offer tourists, however, if you still decide to try something apart from the delicious Georgian cuisine and if you’re a sushi lover, I recommend trying it at the Radisson BLU Iveria (Umami) restaurant as they serve truly the best sushi in town.
CAFE STAMBA
If you want to enjoy your day with friends, chat with them in a cozy and special environment, I suggest visiting Café Stamba on Kostava Street. They serve modern local dishes and have international cuisine too.
DALOOD
Dalood is a Georgian brand that designs clothes and accessories of high quality. It is famous for its handmade embroidery and craftsmanship. So if you want to wear something special, stylish, different and fashionable that was made in Georgia, I recommend you choose Dalood.
