This year, the autumn season of the Tbilisi Youth Orchestra (TYO) 2019 opened with the Mozartomania festival. The first concert of the festival took place on October 27. Classical music lovers still have a chance to attend the Mozartomania festival this Saturday, on November 9 and 12 at the National Youth Palace.
The Mozartomania program is 100% built on Mozart compositions: Symphonies and Concertos.
Within the frames of the Mozartomania festival, Tbilisi Youth Orchestra will perform 3 concerts together with the Georgian soloists: Sandro Tigishvili, Otar Melikishvili, Tsotsne Tsotskhalashvili, Tinatin Kiknadze, Nino Zhvania, and Tamar Zhvania.
Artistic director and the chief conductor of the orchestra is Mirian Khukhunaishvili
On October 27 concert soloists Sandro Tigishvili, Otar Melikishvili performed Sinfonia Concertante, K.364, and Tsotne Tsotskhalashvili played Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, K466.
