DASHBASHI CANYON

Nature’s Cascading Showcase

Liters of water cascade down glistening golden rocks into a pool of cool turquoise waters below. Dashbashi Canyon is a well-kept secret in the Kvemo-Kartli in the south of Georgia.

Eight kilometers wide and several hundred meters tall, the canyon is an impressive feat of nature. Around the canyon, you can explore hidden caves and stunning cliff faces with an abundance of wildlife.

There are also two medieval temples in Dashbashi village, on the edge of the canyons. Although half-ruined, they are important cultural sites that tell the tale of Georgia’s rich history.

To get to the canyon, take a minibus to Tsalka and then to Dashbashi village, around 90 kilometers from Tbilisi. Locals will lend you a helping hand to locate the canyon.
