ZUGDIDI BOTANICAL GARDEN
Zugdidi is not one of the main destinations for travelers, but if you do happen to find yourself here, then the Botanical Garden is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. It’s a break from the noise of the city; a breath of fresh air in a green corner of paradise.
Set up by the Georgian Academy of Sciences in the late 19th century by the prince of Samegrelo, David Dadiani, the Garden showcases over 80 types of exotic plants introduced from all over the world - Southeast Asia, India, Japan, the Mediterranean and the Americas.
