There are increasingly more options for Asian food in Tbilisi, but Tuk Tuk remains a Thai staple in the city. This restaurant is located on a quiet side street just off Liberty (Freedom) Square, in a semi-basement with just enough natural light. It’s cheap, simple and good. When the restaurant isn’t busy, you can talk to the chef and customize your order.
The menu includes curries, sushi, and noodle and rice dishes. Don’t expect the authenticity of Bangkok (or even of Thai places in the UK or the US), but it’s good for what it is, and amazing for the price. You can get a big, steaming hot bowl of pad thai for less than $4.00. The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly if a bit laid back.
There is Wi-Fi and several power sockets, making it a good place for a working lunch. If you like a little kick, ask for the extra spicy sauce!
