The showroom Materiel can be found on the central Kote Aphkhazi Street in Old Tbilisi. It is based on the long history of the oldest fashion house in Georgia. Established in 1949, Materiel balanced between the Soviet strive for unification and the inner Georgian need to express itsartistic nature.

Since 2003, the atelier has put the name Materia on its works, and later, the works of the most outstanding designers were presented in the premium line Materiel. There are currently four designers creating under this label: Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili, Lika Chitaia, Lado Bokuchava and Tako Paksashvili.

Inspired by internal changes in the country and international experiences, they continue to create the face of modern Georgian fashion and are constantly featured in bothnational and international fashion shows.
