La Boheme is the new kid on the block of Tbilisi's most fashionable places to be for style and fine dining. The restaurant-bar offers a fresh, modern yet cozy atmosphere, a colorful Mediterranean-Moroccan feel and some of the best cocktails you'll get in the capital. The staff are friendly, smiling and multi-lingual.
You enter the bar-lounge area at street level to be greeted by upbeat chill-out, chocolate-brown sofas and an array of alcoholic beverages to chose from. You should definitely not miss out on one of their signature cocktails. Our favorites were the palette-cleansing Eshmaki Martini and the spicy Olimpia.
Upstairs the style is more open-restaurant with an open central space, gorgeous Moroccan tiles on the floor and tables lining the walls. Fashion TV is a constant, as is ongoing chill-out music. A large mural of the Mediterranean and Venice buildings adorns one wall and Moroccan glass lamps hang from the ceiling, transporting you to another time and place. But make sure you come back for the food...
The menu is diverse. Pizza (though pizza is too dull a word to describe this delicate-tasting dish that you never want to end!), melt-in-the-mouth lamb tajine, chicken-in-breadcrumbs that Colonel Sander would be envious of, delicately fried meatballs and herbs on a bed of buttery puree and a variety of the best dips I’ve tasted this side of the Black Sea! And then there’s the lava cake and drunken pear...
Shh! Make your reservation now before word gets out….
