The Golden Fleece Hotel is, according to their website, “the largest and the finest hotel in [the] Anaklia region.” It is located along the Enguri River delta, where the river joins the Black Sea. 

Guest rooms offer views of both the river and the sea. It boasts “elegant design and grandeur,” combining “state-of-the-art facilities and [a] cozy atmosphere suited to the needs of modern travelers.”

The staff is friendly and speaks relatively good English. The multiple outdoor pools are perfect for enjoying Anaklia’s warm summer weather when you’re sick of the sand, and for off-season visits, there is an indoor pool as well, plus a kids’ club to keep the little ones busy. The other highlight is the spa – a relaxing, earth-toned haven. 

The breakfast buffet is impressive, a guest favorite, and the large ballroom is alternatively converted for dining, weddings, or conventions.
