The grand entrance of a new designer hostl in a former newspaper printing factory hit the newsstands at beginning of May when, right next to Rooms Hotel, the fashionable Stamba Hotel opened. Run by the same company as Rooms, both are designed and influenced by the warehouse renovation trend originating from Brooklyn.
Like in Brooklyn, a hipster coffee place is a must, and Stamba Hotel follows up on that perfectly. Bright, tall windows from the warehouse are incorporated to flood the seating area with light, even allowing the buzzing tourists on the street to catch a glimpse of the happenings inside. The gigantic hall, in which the cafe operates, is divided into three sections: two smaller ones to grab a drink at, and the biggest area reserved for the delicious fusion cuisine this place is fast becoming famous for.
Rectangular counters span almost the entire length of the hall, cordoning off the cooks working their culinary art. An open fire and sizzling sounds are like music to the ear as you prepare to enjoy a freshly-produced dish or two. Only the finest ingredients are to be found behind the counter, fully ensuring the customers excellent evaluation of the open kitchen.
The staff is comparably more engaged than in other dining venues and the menu offers a great variety of tasty dishes, encapsulating the entire beauty of Georgian spices and aromas. Choices range from mushroom soups to inviting new creations of khachapuri.
Café Stamba - if your budget allows it, your belly will thank you for it!
