Black Sand Camp offers a large shady grassy area right on the edge of the black sandy beach, near the River Supsa.
For campers, tents and mats are available for hire and there are washing-up facilities decorated with bamboo and two outdoor cubicle toilets. Hot water showers are yours to enjoy for free and a washing machine and can be used at a surcharge. Cooking will come easy with a fully equipped kitchen and bbq facilities.
Other accommodation options include one-room cabins.
A large on-site cafe serves a basic menu of Georgian goodies (though the owners themselves are Russian-speaking, not Georgian), drinks and ice-cream.
Something we particularly like about this place (apart from its fabulous location!) is the fact you can pre-order eco-friendly fruit and veg to cook. And for night owls- you can hire hookah and make use of the bar in the cafe!
Prices, ranging from 5-15 GEL per person per night, are listed here- in fact, the website is more informative than those of many hotels in Georgia, and is multi-lingual, so be sure to check it out before you go.
Note- though it is signposted from Ureki as well as the main highway, the campsite is more easily accessed from the un-asphalted road right after you cross the River Supsa bridge- this undeveloped village in the woods is called "Kvavilnari".
