These loft-style restaurants with a Swiss name claim to add a Georgian twist to the European cuisine, and vice versa. While our favorite dishes are the seafood salad, chicken cordon-bleu and mushroom soup, in the Batumi branch you can also find an Adjaruli khachapuri.
The Tbilisi branch also has a bakery, so coming to Bern for breakfast is a good idea. If meeting friends over a mug of great wheat beer or good Georgian wine, we’d recommend also ordering the Georgian grilled meat plate. Bern cooperates with the best local agricultural supermarket, AgroHub, to guarantee the freshest products from Georgian producers.
The interior of both Berns is well thought-out: a combination of wood and bricks in the interior, a lot of space and functional furniture create a lucrative ambience for lunches with business partners. Bern in Batumi also boasts an awesome terrace view. On a late summer evening, when the heat is gone, it is simply terrific to see the city lights turning on, while enjoying an incredibly delicate cheesecake and a cup of tea or coffee.
