Tbilisi is the hotspot for a thriving and engaging youth scene, which exhibits their art in an amazing way. Below we have listed five gallery spaces you can’t miss when heading to Georgia’s capital.
FOTOGRAFIA
Dedicated to the art of photography – film and digital – this place is more than a gallery: it is a melting pot for young and old, queer and straight, man and woman to engage in contemplative discussions about the purpose of photography in a culturally, socially and geopolitically changing country.

ARTAREA
This place is not always filled with art, so better check out the schedule. Yet, if you catch an exhibition, then go plunge yourself into a universe of art making. It is the place for rising artists and considered one of the best spots to discover artists in Tbilisi.
10 Dodo Abashidze Street
PATARA GALLERY
Lovely, shiny, weird, but mostly SMALL! Patara Gallery is a single room underneath the streets of Old Tbilisi. Comprised of only one art piece at a time, you can’t access the gallery but only get blown away by glimpsing through the glass front.
Underpass of Rose Revolution Square
PROJECT ARTBEAT
If you ever bought something “Made in China”, your product has definitely seen the inside of such a thing – a container. Well, in Georgia they made an art gallery out of it. Previously motoring through the town to pop up at random squares and alleys, they finally settled down to showcase the best artists of the region.
14 Ingorokva Street
ERTI GALLLERY
Probably most comparable to ordinary art galleries, this place exhibits fantastic art and mesmerizing works from a wide range of different techniques and genres. Strolling through the city, a visit is more than worth it.
