The Gamrekeli Gallery is exposing the paintings of the very talented Mariam Chijavadze until Sunday.
Chijavadze is a Georgian artist who comes from a family of painters. She studied in the Tbilisi Academy of Arts and aside from painting, has worked in the sphere of theater stage paintings, book illustration and animation.
The gallery welcomes her second solo exhibition which has already been much appreciated by the public.
In her paintings, she delivers her emotions and puts them into live characters that are deeply human. Everyone can recognize themselves in her art and that is why people are so touched by it. Her art is expressive and depicts the complexity of feelings and pains that accompany the existence of each human being. The exhibition is called “Bird” because everyone seeks to be free from the societal and psychological barriers that exist, and to fly from them like a bird…
