Batumi is preparing for New Year celebrations with its Christmas tree to light up in Europe Square on December 25. 

For an entire week, guests of the city will have a chance to attend the concerts of bands like Groovephonics, Sound Lab, Sea Side, Strawberry fields, Fourth Season, Black sea, School Band, Geoplanet and many more, in Europe Square.

On December 29, Niaz Diasamidze and his band 33^ა will be performing, followed by Gamouvali Mdgomareoba band on January 2.

Apart from diverse musical program offered, if you happen to be in Batumi during the New Year period, you’ll be able to taste locally-produced cheese and wine at the wine and cheese festivals to be held also at Europe Square.

The New Year program promises to have many entertainment activities for children as well, with various circus and theater performances, and a show of acrobat Santas planned.

The New Year concert will start at 11PM on December 31 and the celebrations will last til January 2.
