ART & PEACE: CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBITION

Presenting the work of well-known Chinese artists from the Chinese Artists’ Association, this exhibition at the Tbilisi History Museum includes 29 works that range in the mediums of oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, synthetic materials and many more.

The work on show is part of a project called ‘Chinese Art’s Trip to the World’, which was established by the Chinese Artists Association in 2009. Since then the project has made it all around the globe and has been received well by a wide range of people. This year the exhibition was on show in Italy, Finland and Great Britain. High compliments were received from the local government representative, art critics and the public.

All of the work displayed follows the theme of the pursuit of peace in the world, treating others well and the concept of harmony. These aspects of Chinese culture have been spread widely around the world in recent years, in the hope of promoting the ideas.

This exhibition celebrates the 25th year of diplomatic relations between People's Republic of China and Georgia. It hopes to further strengthen the connection between Chinese creative talent and the Georgian art scene, encourage cultural exchanges and working together and to make a foundation for common understanding and friendship between citizens of both countries. The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, the Chinese Art Association and the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.
