Xeme is the bar on the 30^th floor of The Biltmore hotel – the enormous shiny, crooked tower looming over Rustaveli Avenue. 

The hotel is gaudy and ostentatious, with blindingly shiny marble floors, gold-trimmed everything, and displaying images of the Georgian and UAE flags on its huge LED advertising screen outside. 

The bar is very expensive, but you don’t go to Xeme for the drinks, or the atmosphere (it’s usually empty save a few lonely business travelers) – you go for the views. And the views over the city really are stunning. 

Any time of day is beautiful, but dusk is particularly lovely. Xeme also has a food menu, notably with good quality sushi. And they have live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
