Hummusbar is a Mediterranean restaurant in central Tbilisi. It calls itself “borderline vegetarian / vegan” because much of the menus plant based. All the dishes are fresh and made to order. It caters to a very international crowd – sometimes the staff don’t even speak Georgian.

They specialize in popular Middle Eastern dishes – hummus, msabaha, shakshuka, baba ganoush, tabouleh salad, and more. 

It is a trick to find the place, on the second floor of an old house right at the corner where Kostava and Akhvlediani (formerly Perovskaya) streets split. 

The interior is simple, recalling traditional Tbilisi homes – painted wood, long tables crowded into a narrow dining hall. The good food, friendly owners, and comfortable environment will keep you coming back for more! They also offer a popular (and rare) brunch on Saturday mornings.
