Only through their continuous support have we been able to keep our promise these three years to be a leading travel guide in the English language providing the most accurate and updated information for travelers from around the world, and of course offering something new for those expats living and working in Georgia.
I, as a publisher and founder, am proud of my team for their tireless work to answer the most-asked questions: Where to Go, Stay, Eat, Drink and Buy, exclusively for WHERE.ge readers. New Year and Christmas celebrations are unique in Georgia. There are many reasons for it, but the one that stands out is the fact that Georgians celebrate both holidays twice in two weeks!
The Georgian New Year holiday is almost a month long, running from late December to mid-January. In Georgian, we call it “Akhali Tslebi” (New Year in plural). When someone here suggests meeting (or partying) “at New Years,” it can mean anything from December 31 to January 14, so be ready!
