SPAS IN TBILISI

From Traditional Bathhouses to Luxurious Retreats

The domed red-brick roofs of subterranean bathhouses are iconic in Tbilisi’s Abanotubani district. Tbilisi has always been synonymous with spas and bathhouses. The city was even named after the hot springs upon which it sits. Today, Tbilisi’s thermal sulfur baths and spas are popular among locals and tourists alike. A soak, scrub, and traditional massage is the perfect way to remove the stress and grime from daily city life. As well as traditional sulfur baths, Tbilisi also offers upmarket spa experiences for those who truly wish to unwind.

ORBELIANI BATHHOUSE

It’s impossible to miss the blue mosaic facade of Orbeliani Bathhouse rising from Abanotubani’s cobbled streets. Many visitors mistake Orbeliani Bathhouse for a beautiful Uzbeki mosque before realizing it is, in fact, a bathhouse. Orbeliani offers rooms for 1 - 7 people ranging in price from around 50 - 120 GEL.

The more luxurious rooms come with a hot and cold pool, as well as a sauna and showers. Orbeliani has gained a reputation as one of Tbilisi’s best bathhouses thanks to its clean and modern rooms - the ideal atmosphere to relax.

ANNE SEMONIN SPA

Located on the top two floors of the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Anne Semonin Spa overlooks the sun-drenched sprawl of Tbilisi. Guests can gaze upon the Tbilisi skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows. Anne Semonin Spa is, without doubt, one of the most luxurious spa experiences in Tbilisi.

Visitors can choose from a full range of spa treatments from facials to body massages and anti-cellulite scrubs to waxing. The 1,600 square meters of space includes an infinity lounge pool, relaxation area, thermal suites, a fitness center, and more. For a slice of luxury away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Anne Semonin Spa is heaven.

GULO'S BATH

Located in a red-brick domed building on the other side of the square to Orbeliani, Gulo’s Baths is also a popular bathhouse. The spacious rooms allow guests to fully soak in the atmosphere of a sulfur bath. The scrub and soap massage at Gulo’s Baths is known to be especially good.

The cavernous tiled rooms range in price from 30 to 220 GEL. Gulo’s Baths also has a large lounge area where you can relax with a glass of tea or wine after your session.

SAM RAAN SPA & WELLNESS CENTER

Sam Raan Spa & Wellness Center is an urban retreat in Tbilisi offering treatments from around the world. Unwind with a traditional Thai massage, oriental wrap techniques, Dead Sea floating, or a Himalayan salt room.

Visitors can relax in Sam Raan Spa’s magical atmosphere or decide to work a little harder in the onsite fitness center. Special packages and membership options are available for those looking for a regular escape.

ROYAL BATH HOUSE

The Royal Bath House may not be as luxurious as Orbeliani Bathhouse or Gulo’s Baths, but it still deserves to be mentioned as one of Tbilisi’s best value bathhouses. Royal Bath House offers 5 rooms for up to 5 - 6 people priced from around 65 - 95 GEL.

The Royal Bath House has a homely feel. Warm staff and a relaxed atmosphere ensure your visit is memorable.
