No one wants to leave a foreign country empty-handed and neither should you. So, to help, we decided to make this list of the 5 best places in Tbilisi where you can find some truly unique keepsakes and gifts.

ENAMEL ART GALLERY “ORNAMENT”

Cloisonné enamel is not some up-to-the- minute trend in Georgia, as the first local artwork dates back to the VII-VIII centuries. This field of art has slowly turned into a distinctive symbol of the country, with Georgian artists’ works on display in the  US, the UK, France and Spain.

Opened in 2001, Enamel Art Gallery “Ornament” played the main role in the revival process of the local enamel production by becoming the exclusive importer of colors from Limoges and Schauer, opening a special workshop where one can master craftsmanship and breaking down many other barriers for Georgian artists.

Today the gallery has more than 20 professional artists’ works on display and frequently hosts seasonal exhibitions in its main branch. You also have the chance to purchase items via their online store.

If the weather poses no threat, you should definitely take a stroll along the Dry Bridge, which is about a 15 minutes’ walk from the Liberty Square. Built in the XIX century, the bridge has long become the city’s central souvenir bazaar and the variety of items on display is simply tremendous. It’s practically impossible to name a piece of item you won’t find there. That’s right, the capital’s outdoor market has got it all!
