GIVE THE GIFT OF...WOOD?

Ever get the sense that they really don’t know what to think of next? Yet each new invention brings a sense of ‘I never would have thought that up!’ – and Georgia is no exception to this. People here have a real thirst for creativity, eager to find a way to express themselves through an art form.

Step in, woodwork! Mister-Two, a Tbilisi-based independent company, has started to make its own authentic bow-ties, wait for it, made out of wood! We kid you not. Furthermore, they are proving to be a real hit, with even top celebs seen wearing the new trend! Bag-yours while you can!

It seems, though, that the love for all things wood does not stop there. Georgian company Kodala Woodwork employs people of various disabilities in the production of beautiful wooden toys and ornaments. Furthermore, they use only ecologically friendly paint on their pieces, making it a winner all round.

It seems to us that the art of gift-giving has become a lot more varied over the past few years, with so many different options on the market. We think, though, that hand-made products such as these not only help the

local economy but really act as unique and personal gifts. Enjoy!
