CELEBRATE US INDEPENDENCE DAY IN GEORGIA

July 4th is Independence Day for the United States of America. Traditionally, the day is marked in the US by fireworks and outdoor barbeque cookouts with hotdogs, hamburgers, watermelon, and cold beers. This year, a popular Tbilisi bar among expats, Woland’s Speakeasy, is hosting a 4th of July party featuring Georgia’s most famous (and perhaps only) country music singer, Shota Adamashvili.

The event description on Facebook reads:

“Happy 4th of July!

After all the barbecues and fireworks with your friends and family, we invite all of you to celebrate this historical day at my place!

If it's your first celebration of the Independence Day, then you're in for a treat and for those who can't make it home this 4th of July we'll try to bring the real American spirit to our speakeasy bar!

The minute you walk through our bookshelf-door we'll greet you with welcoming drinks to set your celebration mood. Afterwards, you'll find our exclusive cocktails, that are guaranteed to lift your spirits and make you feel right at home. Amazing performer Shota Adamashvili will bring that real 4th of July feeling to your hearts!

Specialties include a Trivia Game about the US presidents and of course the winner gets a prize!

Let's make this day special and memorable for all of us!”

Tbilisi’s Hangar Bar, owned by US expats, is also expected to have a large American crowd celebrating the holiday.
