In 2014, the shell of an old, desolate wine factory in Tbilisi’s central Vera neighborhood, was revived into a complex of trendy shops, restaurants, and a hotel. 

The complex is hidden in a large courtyard above the Hard Rock Café on Melikishvili Street. It includes popular gourmet cafe Tbili Sio, restaurant Wine Factory, and hotel Winery 1896 (the year Georgian cognac magnate Davit Sarajishvili opened the original factory).
