Khareba is one of Georgia’s biggest and most prominent wine companies. Originally built for military purposes during the Cold War, the nearly 8 km of tunnels were purchased by the Winery Khareba, who restored them and use them to store and age wine.
Approximately 25,000 bottles of wine are stored at the facility. Visitors can choose from several tour packages, including a variety of wine tastings and making tone bread and churchkhela. There is also an upscale restaurant on site, with indoor and outdoor seating with breathtaking views of the countryside.
The extensive complex grounds include a stream, waterfall, aviary, and giant qvevris.
